This unusual 18" vintage bear carries a Knickerbocker tag which reads on the front side: "Animals of Distinction, Knickerbocker Toy Co., Inc., all new material, cotton and foam." The back of the tag reads: "Joy of a Toy TM, Knickerbocker, Sewn in Japan. Knickerbocker Toy Co., Inc., Middle , N.J. 08846." This wonderful vintage bear has plastic starburst eyes with felt backing, a pon-pom type of fabric nose, and red felt tongue. Fabric is an unusual rust and yellow synthetic. Not jointed. This rare find is in mint condition from a non-smoking home.
